Why does racism exist? I know it is something taught, not innate. And I think racism is a consequence of ignorance and fear. People are afraid of what is different, they don’t understand it, and so the easy thing to do is to judge it. I believe non-judgmental people are braver. They are braver for looking behind popular opinion and thinking for themselves. They are braver for facing the unknown without any preconceived opinion. They are braver for trying to know people for who they are not what people say. And finally, they are braver for simply letting people be who they are and who they want to be.
