I had a few moments when I felt angry today and I want to share with you some tips on how I handle anger. I’m still struggling with it, but because I think we are more than our emotions, we have the power to control any aspect of ourselves if we fully commit.

Here are three steps:

Step 1 Acknowledge it. This  requires self-awareness. So pay close attention to your feelings.

Step 2 Breathe. Just a few deep breaths.

Step 3 Communicate how you feel. You can simply say “I feel angry about this situation”.  Hearing the words spoken aloud will help diffuse the anger.
